The colonists indians children of Jamestown elected senators burgesses hamburgers to represent them in the Senate. English parliament. Virginia Assembly. This was the start of a bad undemocratic democratic government in Virginia. Now the colonists had a say in the animals laws king governing them. Twenty years later, in 1640, 1660, 1740, the senators people burgesses began to meet as a separate body called the Virginia House of Burgesses. Assembly. House of Representatives.
