The inside of the earth is hot. Sometimes rocks get so hot that they bake. along with can change them, creating rocks. You might find a mountain of metamorphic crystal rocks like , quartzite, schist and slate pushed up by plate collisions.
All these rocks don't stay the same forever. It's called a rock , after all. Igneous and metamorphic rocks can be down by erosion and weathering to form sedimentary rocks. Sedimentary and igneous rocks, subjected to and pressure become metamorphic. And metamorphic and sedimentary rocks can be and cooled back into igneous.
